Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? -Mary Oliver

As people are waking up to the reality of un-affordable housing, increasing costs of living, depleting natural resources and working long hours in stressful jobs, many are coming to the conclusion that there is more to life than keeping up with the Jones, surrounding oneself with costly possessions, working 80 hour weeks just to pay the bills and sacrificing valuable family and leisure time.

It’s no wonder the world is fast embracing the concept of small living. Small homes, including container homes are taking off around the world.

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius – and a lot of courage – to move in the opposite direction. -E.F. Schumacker

Too many people spend money they haven’t earned, to buy things they don’t want, to impress people they don’t like. -Will Rogers

For me living in an IQ Container Home provides safety and security, is affordable with minimal maintenance and ongoing running costs, allows me to work & stress less, have more disposable income, no credit card debt & as an added bonus, complete housework in under 15 minutes! Ultimately leaving more time and $ to do the things I love such as traveling, tramping, pursuing hobbies, volunteer work and spending time with friends and family.

Reduce the complexity of life by eliminating the needless wants of life, and the labors of life reduce themselves. -Edwin Way Teale

Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you. -Lao Tzu

Worried about the re-sale value of a small home? Don’t be!

Gone are the days when large 4 bedroom 2 bathroom homes were all the rage. Today there are more single people than ever before, couples are holding off till later in life to have children (if at all) and the baby boomer generation are entering retirement. Add this to unaffordability of housing and you have increased demand for smaller dwellings; 1 and 2 bed homes are in demand. Don’t take my word for it, check out the graphs below
